Trick-or-Treat will be held this year in Williamsburg on Oct. 31 as planned. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Williamsburg is asking residents wishing to participate to have an outside light on to notify any trick-or-treaters of their willingness to participate.
Trick-or-Treaters are encouraged to partake in the event at their own discretion. CDC guidelines are strongly encouraged to be followed along with the following guidance.
- Refrain from having children select their own treats from a bowl/common container. Leave individual grab bags (or paper cups) filled with goodies outside your door for children to take.
- If you can, watch and wave to trick-or-treaters through a window. Or, leave Halloween treats outside the door where friends and loved ones live for a contact-free way of celebrating.
