Do to the current weather forecast a SNOW EMERGENCY is being declared from Saturday January 30 at Noon to Sunday January 31 at Noon.
SNOW EMERGENCY: In order to protect public safety and to provide access for emergency vehicles, no person shall park, abandon or leave unattended any vehicle on any public street, alley, or other declared area during any snow emergency proclaimed by the Mayor unless the snow has been removed or plowed from said street, alley, or area and the snow has ceased to fall. A snow emergency parking ban shall continue from its
proclamation throughout the duration of the snow or ice storm and the forty-eight (48)hour period after cessation of such storm except as above provided upon streets, which have been fully opened.

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Quad Cities IA IL Sat Jan 30 2021 ...Mixed Precipitation and Heavy Wet Snow into Sunday... A winter storm will impact the area today into Sunday bringing periods of freezing rain, sleet, and snow. The precipitation will start out as a mix this afternoon before quickly changing over to snow across the north, northeast, and east-central forecast area by the late afternoon or early evening. The rain/snow line will then gradually move to the southwest, reaching the I-80 counties late this evening into early tonight. Hazardous travel conditions are expected to develop in areas that receive freezing rain, and as the snow becomes moderate to heavy at times. Gusty east to northeast winds up to 30 mph will lead to blowing snow and some drifting in open areas.
