The City of Williamsburg is seeking proposals for renting the City’s Recreation Center located at 929 South Highland Street, Williamsburg, Iowa. The lease term would start on July 1, 2021 and continue to a date agreed upon by the parties but for a minimum term of two (2) years.
Proposals to the City must include, at minimum, the name of the proposed tenant, a description of the tenant’s intended uses for the property, a statement of how the tenant will assure the continued use of the facility by the tax payers of Williamsburg, Iowa, and any other information the proposed tenant believes is important or is otherwise requested by the City of Williamsburg.
The City of Williamsburg will elect a proposed tenant based upon its decision of who can best promote the interests of the City of Williamsburg and the City’s citizens. The City will accept the best proposal in consideration of all such interests. The City reserves the right to reject all proposals and/or the right to extend the current lease with the current tenants. All proposals should be submitted to City Hall at 210 West State Street, Williamsburg, Iowa no later than June 25, 2021 at 3:30 p.m.
