You are hereby notified that the City Council of Williamsburg, Iowa intends to discuss Resolution #106-23 concerning the proposed sale of public property. The City Council has determined that it is in the City’s best interest to sell the property currently identified as:

The City considers it necessary to sell the property as it is not needed for any public or municipal use. The City intends to place the items on Big Iron Auctions. The city intends to take the highest bid for the listed items above with no reserve.
The matter is now before the City Council and will come on for hearing at 6:30 p.m. on November 27, 2023, in the City Hall at Williamsburg, Iowa. Anyone having any objections may appear at said time and place and be heard.

You are hereby notified the City is considering vacating a part of the City’s right-of-way formally described as follows:
That part of the right-of-way of West Street described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of Lot 2, Burgside Addition to Williamsburg, Iowa County, Iowa; thence N 2’33’31” E along the west right-of-way of West Street 9.26 feet to the point of beginning; thence northeasterly along a 105.00-foot curve, concave southeasterly, parallel with and 30 feet normally distant from the centerline on West Street, 111.33 feet to a point 33 feet normally distant from the centerline of North Street, (said curve having a chord of 106.23 feet bearing N 32′ 48’20” E); thence northwesterly along a 333.00-foot radius curve, concave northeasterly, parallel with and 33 feet normally distant from the centerline of North Street, 17.20feet (said curve having a chord of 17.19 feet bearing N 18’56’59” W); thence northwesterly along a 267.00-foot radius curve, concave southwesterly, parallel with and 33 feet normally distant from the centerline of North Street, 95.20 feet to the East line of Lot 1 in said Burgside Addition, (said curve having a chord of 94.70 feet bearing N 27’41’06” W); thence S 2’24’37” W 189.58 feet along the East line of said Lot 1 to the point of beginning, containing 4,453 s.f., and is subject to easements and restrictions of record.
The plan to vacate consists of transferring title to a portion of the right-of-way described above to the adjacent property owner. The City is considering whether this vacation of real property will allow the real estate to be put to its highest and best use with the largest return to the City’s taxpayers and citizens.
You are further notified that a public hearing before the City Council will be held at 6:30 p.m. on November 27, 2023, in the City Hall at Williamsburg, Iowa, at which time and place any person may appear in person or by agent or attorney and present objections, if any, to the authorization of the variance above stated.
