Notice of hearing concerning the proposed sale of public property, solid waste, and sewer charges.
NOTICE OF HEARING
To the Residents of the City of Williamsburg, Iowa
You are hereby notified that the City Council of Williamsburg, Iowa intends to discuss Resolution #40-23 concerning the proposed sale of public property. The City Council has determined that it is in the City’s best interest to sell the property currently identified as:
2000 John Deere 310-E Backhoe
The City considers it necessary to sell the property as it is not needed for any public or municipal use. The City intends to place the items on Big Iron Auctions. The city intends to take the highest bid for the listed items above with no reserve.
The matter is now before the City Council and will come on for hearing at 6:30 p.m. on May 8, 2023, in the City Hall at Williamsburg, Iowa. Anyone having any objections may appear at said time and place and be heard.

NOTICE OF HEARING
To the Residents of the City of Williamsburg, Iowa.
You are hereby notified that there is now on file before the City Council a request
to delete the existing Section 106.08 (“Collection Fees”) and replace said Section with the following Section. Said proposed new section states as follows:
106.08 COLLECTION FEES. The collection and disposal of solid waste as provided by this chapter are declared to be beneficial to the property served or eligible to be served and there shall be levied and collected fees therefor in accordance with the following:
Fee for Collection. A fee of $23.71 for both solid waste and recyclables collection and disposal service, used or available, from each residential premise will be assessed each month. The fee allows 65-gallon or 96-gallon of bagged solid waste weekly in designated cart and 65- gallon or 96-gallons of recyclables weekly in designated cart. Each additional solid waste container or bag must have a tag affixed. The cost per waste collection tag is $.50 each. Tags are available for purchase at Williamsburg City Hall, Brothers Market, Ace Hardware and The Depot.
This matter is now before the City Council and will come on for hearing and final determination at 6:30 p.m. on May 8, 2023, at the city hall in Williamsburg, Iowa. Anyone having any objections may appear at said time and place and be heard.

NOTICE OF HEARING
To the Residents of the City of Williamsburg, Iowa.
You are hereby notified that there is now on file before the City Council a request
to delete the existing Section 99.04 Paragraph 3 (“User Charges”), and replace said Section with the following Section. Said proposed new section states as follows:
99.04 USER CHARGES, Paragraph 3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Williamsburg by amending the following:
Each contributor shall pay $7.32 per 1,000 gallons.
$3.83 per 1,000 gallons of which the revenues generated shall be placed into Fund 611-Sewer Increase Fund to be used for upgrades to the current sewer plant or for purpose of assisting paying general obligation sewer bonds. Revenues allocated to Fund 611 may not be used or borrowed against except by a Resolution passed by a minimum of 75% of the City Council.
$4.98 per 1,000 gallons of which the revenues generated shall be placed into Fund 612-Sewer Revenue Bond Fund. Revenues allocated to Fund 612 are restricted in use to pay only the current Sewer Revenue Bonds associated with the Sewer Projects. Any revenues generated over the scheduled debt payment for each fiscal year shall be placed into Fund 613-Sewer Sinking Fund as required by the State Revolving Fund Loan and held until such Bonds are paid in full.
