The Williamsburg Historical Commission was founded in 2007. Dedicated to saving historical items, pictures and stories from Williamsburg and the surrounding area, the museum is filled with items and antiques that have been donated or presented on loan. The museum has an extensive collection of American Indian artifacts that includes many local finds. This display is courtesyof Joe Milder, local collector and historian. The Commission houses a genealogy division in the upstairs portion of the building.
The upstairs staff is committed to helping all who come looking for information. Obituaries, Journal Tribune stories and family histories are available upon request. The WHC is more than welcome, with advance notice, to host any special tours, school groups or reunion attendees.
Museum hours are Monday through Friday - 10 am - 3 pm. Genealogy hours are flexible Monday through Friday 1 pm – 4 pm.
